Make your video marketing engaging

Video marketing killed the radio star.

Video has come a long way in recent years and offers Forum members real opportunities. So here are a few things to think about.

How are you using video?

You can create an explainer video – the most common of video types. Or it might be a video for social media or as part of a sales presentation or a webinar. When creating the video, make sure you think about how and where it will be used. A video for social media will be much shorter for example. Know how you will use it.

Style of Video

Do you use animation or people? Do you add music or subtitles? Will it be viewed more on mobile? Have a plan.

Why are you using video?

Don’t just use video because others are. Have a purpose. Video can be very useful for lead generation or bringing dull mortgage products to life. Have a goal.

What does success look like?

With the goal set, is must be measurable. You can set success as video engagement, views of the video, click throughs or general contribution to brand salience. Measure it.

Make it engaging

If you want engagement, it must be engaging. A lot of video content is dull, dull, dull. Mortgages don’t have to be dull. This is where your creative power can be applied to make entertaining and engaging video. Engage with your audience. Now go and engage.
